Milan, September 5 2021 – A 43-year-old Italian woman, TS, was arrested by the Predatory Crimes Unit of the local police in Milan for a series of thefts committed in various shops along Corso Buenos Aires.

The local police officers, during an undercover inspection of the commercial area, collected a report regarding a woman, known for other thefts and reports in the previous days, who had stolen some items of clothing from Yamamay.

Having tracked down the woman, the officers checked the contents of a bag she had with her, where there were foodstuffs and other objects and clothing. Specifically, 10 items were found in the bag, with a total value of approximately 200 euros, from Yamamay, Dmail, Guzzini, Mango and Unes stores. All commercial activities present in Corso Buenos Aires, from which the objects (clothing, bags, a travel bottle, a Rubik's cube, various foodstuffs) had been stolen within the same morning.

From the check of TS data it emerged that the woman had a history of crimes against property and that she was subjected to a precautionary measure requiring signature, due to an arrest which occurred on 3 August. The local police officers therefore carried out a house search, where they found another fifty items of clothing from brands present on Corso Buenos Aires, of which they could not prove the sale, for a total value of around 500 euros: from investigation revealed that they had all actually been stolen.

The officers therefore accompanied the woman to the Central Arrests and Arrests Office and received the complaints/complaints from the commercial activities involved, to which the articles were returned. TS was once again subjected to the signature requirement while awaiting trial.
