Local police. Illegal disco in a bowling alley, premises seized

Dancing parties organized without a license and in violation of anti-covid regulations have been blocked. Scavuzzo: “Let's keep our guard up” 

Milan, July 25 2020 - A bowling alley in via Tofane was seized at the request of the public prosecutor Maura Ripamonti after an intervention by the local police. In fact, the premises were used as a nightclub, without there being permits and licenses for this type of activity. Investigations by the Local Police revealed the continuation of dancing parties until late hours with numerous participants, in violation of the current provisions regarding the prevention of Covid-19 contagion. 

“The Local Police remain highly vigilant towards all situations that constitute a problem for public health and for the tranquility of residents - states the Deputy Mayor with responsibility for Security, Anna Scavuzzo -. We continue to intervene in various neighborhoods to put an end to illegal situations and we invite citizens to continue to report them. This seizure is the result of investigative work by the Local Police and coordinated by prosecutor Maura Ripamonti of the Public Prosecutor's Office, whom I thank."

The Local Police were put on alert by some reports, which had already arrived during 2019, from residents of the neighborhood, disturbed by the loud music coming from the venue even late at night. After the initial investigations, the authorities intervened with a warning addressed to the association that manages the spaces, but the noise and music started again. Until the seizure, which took place after the last checks carried out on June 20th on the occasion of another event held in the venue. On the bowling club's Facebook profile there are still several events scheduled for the next few weeks.
