Local police. They were delivering drugs instead of food, two arrested
The partner of one of them is also under investigation; over 4,4 kilos of marijuana, 1,1 kilos of hashish and 23 grams of cocaine seized
Milan, 2 April 2021 – They falsely used home food delivery tools to sell drugs, thus hoping to evade controls relating to the health emergency. Two men and a woman of Peruvian nationality were arrested yesterday, Thursday 1 April, by the Narcotics Control Unit of the local police of Milan for detention for the purposes of dealing, in competition with each other, from whom a total of over 4,4 were seized, 1,1 kilos of marijuana, 23 kilos of hashish and XNUMX grams of cocaine.
As they passed through via Porpora, local police officers noticed CBJS (22 years old) who, getting off a moped with a Glovo branded home delivery bag on it, entered a doorway without carrying anything to deliver. After a few minutes, the boy came out of the same door, again with nothing in his hand, but with a suspicious swelling under his clothes.
The officers therefore proceeded to check CBJS, who handed over a plastic bag containing 4 wraps of cocaine (for a total of 2 grams), 8 wraps of marijuana (for a total of 42.5 grams) and 4 wraps of hashish (for a total of 40 grams), admitting that they were all substances to be resold: on each envelope there was a name written in marker and addresses or other references of the people who, presumably, were to receive them.
During the check, another boy, LFJG (18 years old), also came out from the same door, also carrying a Glovo bag. After reporting that he did not live in that building, he declared that he was there for a food delivery, thus trying to evade checks. Stopped and identified, however, he handed over a wrapper of marijuana that he kept in his trouser pocket and, subsequently, 3 other wrappers of the same type (for a total of 15 grams) from inside the delivery bag, which was instead devoid of food. Also in this case, the names, addresses or references of the alleged buyers were written in marker on the packaging.
At this point the agents of the Drug Contrast Unit decided to proceed with a house search, assisted by the Local Police Dog Unit, of the apartment on the first floor of which the LFJG had the keys: inside there was a woman (FDA, 22 years old), also of Peruvian nationality, who qualified as his partner.
More than 4,3 kilos of marijuana, over a kilo of hashish and 20.7 grams of cocaine were found in the bathroom, all packaged in the same manner as those found in the possession of the two men on the street, in heat-sealed vacuum bags, and contained in the inside of bags branded in this case Deliveroo. Also seized were 3 precision scales, packaging material, the black felt-tip pen presumably used to write on the envelopes and a drug-stained knife.
Finally, banknotes mostly in denominations of 20 were found inside a wardrobe, kept inside a woman's wallet, for a total of 1.500 euros.
"We thank the local police officers who did not underestimate a suspicious attitude and completed a delicate operation, removing large quantities of drugs from the market - comments the deputy mayor and councilor for Security Anna Scavuzzo -. The fact that changes have occurred this year the methods of committing certain crimes has not stopped the attention that the police and the local police place on them".
