Local police. Act of vandalism during the night at the Loggia dei Mercanti
Milan, July 10 2022 - Last night unknown persons daubed writings on the walls and stairs of the Merchants' Loggia. Since the early hours of the morning, the local police verified the incident and activated the collection of camera images.
Tomorrow morning the Municipality's intervention teams will erase the writings and restore the places, in compliance with the indications of the technical area responsible for the restorations and the constraints of the Superintendency of Fine Arts.
"Acts of vandalism against monuments of great historical value such as this are doubly to be condemned – underlines Security Councilor Marco Granelli –. The local police is working to make the best possible use of the camera images and prevent these episodes. We will continue to monitor about this place."
