Another young man and a security guard were also victims of the attacks

Milan, 1 February 2023 – At the first light of dawn this morning, the agents of the operational unit of the local police of Milan carried out the order implementing the precautionary custody in prison issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Milan, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office – 7 ° Department, against four individuals under investigation for attempted aggravated murder, injuries, resistance to a public official and illegal carrying of a bladed weapon. Today's operation constitutes the compendium of an investigation activity launched by the local police in March 2022 and concerns two separate episodes.

The investigations conducted by the agents of the Local Police Operational Unit, with the coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Milan - 7th Department, have made it possible to reconstruct, through a detailed investigative activity and the acquisition of images of the video surveillance cameras and other evidentiary findings, the salient phases of the attacks.

On the night of March 5, the four young people, in competition with each other, attacked and injured a security guard inside the McDonald's in Central Station who had asked them to leave the premises of the business. The man had been thrown to the ground and hit with numerous kicks which had caused fractures to several ribs with a prognosis of 40 days and an inability to work for 78 days.

Subsequently the group moved to Piazza Leonardo Da Vinci where they attacked two peers. One of the two victims had been judged "guilty" of having greeted the group and for this reason had been surrounded by the pack and suffered four stab wounds near vital organs while the other victim, in an attempt to provide aid to his seriously injured friend , had in turn been thrown to the ground and savagely beaten with kicks and punches, suffering injuries later judged to be healable in 117 days.

On site the victims were rescued by 118 personnel and urgently transported to the emergency room, in particular the young man who was stabbed was judged to be in danger of his life.

The attack which took place inside the commercial premises against the security guard was filmed with his mobile phone by one of the members of the group and published on the Telegram channel.

During the investigations, the social danger of those arrested emerged, who usually glorify violence and the use of drugs on social networks, posting music video clips where they also portray themselves with their faces hidden by balaclavas while holding firearms and daggers and proclaim in "trap" musical style the total contempt for the values ​​of civil coexistence.

The home of a fifth member of the group, under investigation in a state of freedom for having participated in the attacks, was also searched by delegation of the Public Prosecutor's Office - 7th Department.
