Local police. Attack on a patrol, some alleged perpetrators identified
Milan, January 16 2022 - On Saturday night, around 1am, a plainclothes local police patrol was attacked by a group of people. The patrol was in the Viale Coni Zugna area for a normal information control service because in the previous days some citizens had reported acts of vandalism to parked cars.
The facts: one of the two officers, intent on observing a group of boys, is approached and surrounded by them. The agent qualifies and, continuing to be surrounded, fires a shot in the air to make them move away. The officer tries to get back into the car, but is attacked by some members of the group. After a scuffle the boys manage to take the service weapon away from the officer who tries to defend himself and resist the attack. During the scuffle a gunshot was accidentally fired without consequences for anyone. Meanwhile the second patrol officer alerts the Operations Center and two more patrols arrive.
The group flees and abandons the weapon by throwing it under a parked car. Everything lasts a few minutes.
The attacked officer, aged 61, was taken to hospital where he received the necessary treatment for the injuries he suffered and was subsequently discharged.
The same night the local police started investigations thanks to which some members of the group were identified. At the moment among them there are some adults traveling to Milan and coming from outside the region, at least one from Bolzano.
The local police, in contact with the Judicial Authority, is acquiring all the video and testimonial evidence and any further elements that have emerged to identify the entire group.
