Social policies. Milan helps, an email address to collect initiatives in favor of the over 65s

The aim is to activate a virtuous network between companies and private individuals dedicated to those who are most at risk in the event of Coronavirus infection

Milan, March 6 2020 - The Municipality of Milan calls together companies and private social sectors to activate a virtuous network of help for the over 65s, for people suffering from chronic pathologies or immunosuppressed people who represent the subjects most at risk in the event of contagion from Coronavirus and for whom it is It was therefore recommended to stay at home as much as possible. 
 
To meet their needs, the Municipality has set up an email address to collect information on solidarity initiatives and on the services that private individuals are available to offer free of charge to support elderly people, in addition to those of the Municipality of Milan. 
 
Both large companies and small traders and local businesses can contact milanoaiuta@comune.milano.it. The requests will be processed by a special team of the Department of Social and Housing Policies which will take care of contacting the proposer in order to draw up an information sheet on the service which will be useful to the operators of the switchboard 020202 - within which a path dedicated to listening to and guiding the elderly - to inform interested over 65s about the various opportunities in their neighborhood and, in general, in the city.

There are already several companies that have contacted us to offer to do their part so that the city overcomes this difficult moment and the tool we have set up aims to be a collector of all these positive energies, so that they can be well channeled and not go to waste ”.
