Milan, July 19 2021 – Today the meeting "Societies of cities. The response of welfare systems after the pandemic" was held via videoconference, organized by the Social Policies directorate of the Municipality of Milan in collaboration with the company Methodist Srl.

The local community is the measure and the place where the socialization of needs takes place and the development of the tools to deal with the demand for protection which, especially in this last year and a half of the pandemic, has strongly grown and changed.

Through the sharing of experiences and reflections that tell of varied territorial realities, the guests of the conference organized by the Municipality of Milan will address the topic of local welfare, according to a community approach that originates from a strong and shared pact between the actors that I'm part.

Contributions and experiences on the subject of local welfare were presented; after the initial greetings from the spokesperson of the City of Milan Third Sector Forum, Rossella Sacco, the debate was opened by the councilor for social and housing policies Gabriele Rabaiotti.
