Social policies. Twelve days of events against violence against women at the Fabbrica del Vapore

Milan, November 14 2019 – Starting today and until November 25th, the Municipality of Milan, in collaboration with the city's Anti-Violence Network, is organizing “Roads of autonomy and freedom for women” at the Fabbrica del Vapore, a series of events in preparation for the International Day for elimination of violence against women. An initiative with which the Municipality's Anti-Violence Network presents itself to the city as a consolidated reality that has been operating for several years and which finds its wealth in its many souls.

The program of events, all with free and open access, will start today at 13pm and will continue for 12 days. 

Among today's initiatives are the yoga workshop which will begin at 13pm and the theater show "Urlando Furiosa" at 20,30pm. 

On November 16th it will be the turn of the art therapy laboratory, at 10am, while at 17pm the book "Vivere libera" by Manuela Ulivi with Fabio Roia and Daria Colombo will be presented.

On November 17th at 10am, among other things, we will talk about "How to deal with economic violence" with Lucia Annibali, Marcella Caradonna, Claudia Segre and Manuela Ulivi.

On November 18th it will be the turn of the autobiographical writing workshop at 17,30pm and on the 19th the conference on "Violence and workplaces" at 10am with CGIL/CISL/UIL, Assolombarda and the city councilor Diana De Marchi. 

On November 20 and 22, among other things, there will be respectively the conference on gender violence and the Latin American world, the seminar entitled "Playing on gender violence. Game for social change” at 15pm and the one on “Domestic violence through the eyes of children” at 9am with Ciro Cascone, Gloria Soavi, Silvia Belloni, Mariangela Pedrinelli, Laura Nencioni, Save the Children.

We will return to this last theme on Saturday 23 November at 10am with the workshop for parents and children "A good start: a gender equality education workshop for children and adults". 

Also on Saturday at 21pm there will be a concert by "The good news female gospel choir", while on Sunday 24th at 20,30pm there will be a conference show by the group "Amazzone o Penelope". 

November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, will be dedicated entirely to schools. 

During the 12 days, two installations will be available to visitors, "The Labyrinth" curated by SVS DAD Onlus, Farsi Prossimo, Fondazione Caritas Ambrosiana and "Alessandro's Room" curated by Save the Children, and various exhibitions.
