Open squares. The new Via Pacini is celebrated on Sunday 6 September

Milan, September 5 2020 - All that was missing was a little color to make via Pacini even more beautiful. So this weekend, with strokes of green and yellow, the volunteers of Retake Milano, summoned by the Municipality, completed the redevelopment of the street (at the intersection with Via Bazzi) in Municipality 3, an idea born from a Collaboration agreement between the Municipality and citizens in the context of tactical urbanism interventions. It is a new piece of the "Piazze Aperto" project created in collaboration with Bloomberg Associates, National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) and Global Designing Cities Initiatives.

This Sunday, September 6, at 18 pm, in compliance with the social distancing rules for the coronavirus, the inauguration of the stretch of street will take place with a party attended by representatives of the Municipality and Municipality 3, the associations involved in the redevelopment and the citizens.

In the months of July and August, before the colouring, the Municipality had widened the pavements, created new pedestrian crossings and redeveloped the tree-lined parterre. New benches and bicycle racks have been installed.

The tactical urban planning intervention was proposed by the Beekeeping Collective as part of the public notice promoted by the Administration last autumn for the identification of new areas to be regenerated in 2020.
