Libya Square. Civil Protection and Local Police on site to assist families and firefighters
Milan, 12 September 2020 - Municipal civil protection and local police immediately started working with the fire brigade and the state police and at the disposal of the families involved in this morning's explosion in Piazzale Libia.
The Civil Protection was present with 8 teams, an advanced command post, a police station and a coordination vehicle. After several discussions with the families and thanks to the collaboration with the condominium administration, it was possible to find suitable solutions for the 23 people who requested them. In total there were 49 people present at the time of the explosion inside the building, which normally houses 54 in the 37 apartments, all of which are unusable.
Furthermore, from the investigations of the local police of Milan, on site with 2 officers and 4 patrols for road assistance and for the surveys of parked vehicles, 9 motorcycles, 8 cars and 1 electric scooter were found to be affected and damaged.
