Seveso Plan. The tender for the Senago anti-flood lamination tank has been won

Together the Municipality and the Lombardy Region for the defense of the territory finance the work with 30 million euros. Delivery of works expected by October 2019

Milan, August 9 2019 - The tender for the construction of the Seveso flood lamination tanks in the Municipality of Senago (MI) ended today. The tender - called by AIPo as contracting authority and responsible for the project and the procurement procedure process - was awarded to the A.T.I. between the Infrastructure Builders Consortium of Sant'Angelo Lodigiano (Lodi) and the Impresa Luigi Notari company of Milan.

“The start of work on this lamination tank - declares Marco Granelli councilor for Mobility and Public Works - together with the tender for the Milan 'Parco Nord' tank, already activated in recent days by the Municipality of Milan through MM S.p.A., completes a first series of works to protect the neighborhoods of the city often affected by the flooding of the Seveso".

The delivery of the works to the company is scheduled for October 2019, once the formalities required by law have been completed to verify possession of the requirements declared by the A.T.I., both for the first and second phases (Sectors 1 and 2 of the first lamination). The work, carried out by the Interregional Agency for the Po River (AIPo) and financed with funds from the Municipality of Milan (20 million euros) and the Lombardy Region (10 million euros), is fundamental for the prevention of floods on the Seveso a valley of the hydraulic node of Paderno Dugnano (Palazzolo) and, once completed in its entirety (3 sections), will allow double the flow of the Seveso to be drained into the northwest spillway, already adequate to receive greater quantities of flood water.
