Almost 1.800 suggestions and more detailed proposals. The areas most affected: mobility, school, business and environment

Milan 21 May 2020 - The Milan 2020 document on the post Covid-19 adaptation strategy, proposed to citizens shortly before the start of phase two, attracted interest and participation of ideas. Approximately 1.223 citizens sent an observation and approximately 2.300 individual proposals were received.

From today they are online on the website of the Municipality of Milan in the section dedicated to the coronavirus, (Milan 2020 Adaptation Strategy) in order to share them with citizens and fuel the debate. The consultation, which started on April 27th, will remain open until May 31st.

The proposals, from simple suggestions to more complex ones, with attachments and some projects, were sent to the Municipality by individual citizens, associations and organisations. They touched on different sectors of the management of the city and its restart. Five themes received the greatest interest: mobility (673), business (337), environment (129), school (97), work and training (71).

“The large number of contributions received - explains the councilor for Participation, Active Citizenship and Open Data, Lorenzo Lipparini - demonstrates the interest of Milanese citizens in participation and the desire to look to the future with pragmatism and planning. There are still 10 days available to consult and explore the issues that have emerged, develop them and present new content, at the end of which we will proceed to evaluate the proposals and update the document.

Suggestions received from citizens
