Participation. Lipparini: "Tell us your opinion on the Air and Climate Plan, we'll explain how to do it"

The tutorial that guides citizens in using the participation platform has been published.
The councilor: "Milan is the first city in Italy to promote the direct participation of citizens in the drafting of the Municipality Plan to respond to the climate and environmental emergency"

Milan, February 2 2021 - Milan, the first city in Italy to use a web platform for direct participation in the activities of the municipal administration, calls on its citizens to contribute with their observations to the definition of the Air and Climate Plan (CAP) whose adoption was approved by the City Council on December 21st.

The first sixty observations entered - using SPID as an identifier for registering on the platform - and the approximately twenty comments received can already be consulted by everyone on the participatory platform. But there is still time to delve deeper into the themes of the Plan and intervene. The consultation will remain open until February 25th and to make this tool known and above all accessible, with the collaboration of the Fondazione Rete Civica Milanese, a tutorial has been created which can now be seen on the YouTube channel at link
All observations will be collected and brought to the attention of the City Council which will meet between March and April for the final approval of the Plan.

“We count on the participation of the Milanese and the city users who study and work here - said the councilor for Participation, Active Citizenship and Open Data, Lorenzo Lipparini - to create a Plan which, in addition to the indispensable contribution of the technicians, can collect the observations of people, making them protagonists of change. Sharing objectives and everyone's behaviors and habits are fundamental to evolving towards real environmental sustainability. Already during the questionnaire launched this summer on the areas of the Plan, to which more than 7.500 people responded, and then during the online meetings in the Municipalities and the thematic workshops, we had evidence of great interest and involvement. Now the time has come to put forward your point of view and express it by making an observation. For this reason I invite citizens to use the online platform to consult the documentation, read the contributions already received and really say what they think of the proposed actions, their effectiveness and necessity. In the meantime, I thank all those who have already used the platform and the group of 50 people selected with a statistical sampling who agreed to participate in the table of citizens drawn by lot which started its work this weekend. From their discussion we expect a further contribution to the definition of an effective and shared plan".
