Participation. Municipality of Milan, Retake and Samsung together to clean up Forlanini Park and the Saini Sports Center

Over 300 people at work. Lipparini: “Today's activity is the tangible demonstration of the importance of collaboration between public, private and associations for the care of the common good”

Milan, July 5 2019 – This morning, starting at 9, around 300 employees of the Samsung electronics Italia headquarters and 25 volunteers from Retake Milan participated in the second edition of the SAVE for Milan project, the corporate volunteering activity organized in collaboration with the Retake association Milan and sponsored by the Municipality of Milan. 
 
Two objectives were achieved during the morning: cleaning the facade of the Saini Sports Center, in via Corelli 136, from the writings on the walls, and the cleaning of Parco Forlanini thanks to plogging, the activity that combines physical activity in the open air with cleaning of surrounding spaces. For the occasion, the benches in the park were also cleaned and repainted. 

Inaugurating the day were Lorenzo Lipparini, Councilor for Participation, Active Citizenship and Open Data, and Chiara Bisconti, President of Milano Sport, who symbolically launched the activities together with the management of Samsung electronics Italia.

We are doing everything possible to accompany and enhance the enthusiasm and competence of citizens and companies who choose to commit themselves to the care of the city, and we are recording a constant growth of this type of initiative in terms of number, complexity and impact on the quality of life in the neighborhoods".
