Royal Palace. An exhibition celebrates the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the Alpine Corps

Milan, 9 December 2022 – On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Alpine Corps, from 10 to 18 December in the Courtyard of Honor of the Royal Palace, a tensile structure will be set up which will host the historical exhibition dedicated to the Alpini. The inauguration is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 10 December, at 17pm. A journey into the history of the 'Black Feathers', promoted by the Municipality of Milan, the Army and the National Alpini Association in collaboration with Palazzo Reale, and designed by Studio490 of Trento which also oversaw the installation of the Alpini Museum in the Trentino capital. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a journey that leads from 1872 to today, through the military history of the Corps and the National Alpine Association, enriched by the exhibition of precious images, historical uniforms and videos in continuous projection. The Alpine Corps was born in Naples on 15 October 1872, with the aim of defending the mountain borders of Northern Italy and represents the oldest active mountain infantry corps in the world. The National Alpine Association was founded in Milan immediately after the First World War, in 1919, and with its 103 years of history it maintains high values ​​of solidarity and commitment towards society that characterize membership of the Corps.    Entrance to the exhibition is free and without reservation every day from 8am to 19.30pm, on Thursdays until 22.30pm.  www.alpini150.it www.palazzorealemilano.it
