Palazzo Marino. Friday 18 October flash mob against human trafficking

Milan, October 17 2019 – On Friday 18 October, in Piazza Scala 2, the Municipality of Milan and the Metropolitan City of Milan, as part of the "Derive and landings" project, launch the flash mob "Milan non...trafficking", on the occasion of the thirteenth European Day against human trafficking. The appointment is at 16pm in front of Palazzo Marino, with orange balloons, street art and flyers, to raise citizens' awareness of the challenge represented by the fight against trafficking and exploitation of people.

The “Derive e Prodi” project started in Milan in 2017 and was extended until May 2020 thanks to co-financing from the Equal Opportunities Department (2.025.400 euros) and the Municipality (300.000 euros). There are around 200 people who have started a reception process as part of the project and more than 5.000 contacts aimed at highlighting the phenomenon. These are mostly women victims of sexual exploitation, but there is also a minority of men and transsexuals.
