Palazzo Marino. 'Yes' to the former Fornace, a new municipal house for weddings and civil unions

Cocco: “A new location in Municipality 6 to celebrate a special day. Our goal is a Municipal House in every Municipality"

Milan, 8 December 2019 - A new municipal headquarters for weddings and civil unions. The Administration has designated the former Fornace in via Alzaia Naviglio Pavese 16 as the Municipal House.

This is a public space within Municipality 6, currently used for cultural activities, which has rooms suitable for the celebration of weddings and civil unions, a lift and the possibility of access to the spouses' vehicles.

From today the former Fornace joins the other Municipal Houses present in the city: the headquarters of Palazzo Reale, Cascina Turro in Municipality 2, Cascina Monastero in Municipality 7, Villa Scheibler in Municipality 8 and Villa Litta in Municipality 9, which has become the headquarters of weddings in 2017.

“After Villa Litta we offer the Milanese another beautiful space to celebrate weddings and civil unions – declares the councilor for Civic Services Roberta Cocco -. The availability of locations in the city is therefore expanding to accommodate the requests of the spouses, more numerous on Fridays and Saturdays and during the warmer seasons".

The celebrations, which will start in the first months of 2020, will be officiated by the president of Municipality 6, Santo Minniti, and by the municipal councilors who will give their availability.
