Palazzo Marino. The members of the city council for active mobility and accessibility have been appointed

Milan, August 16 2022 – The Municipality of Milan has appointed the members of the city council for active mobility and accessibility. The body was created with the aim of making systematic comparison with the associations in the planning of interventions to encourage urban travel with methods and means alternative to motor vehicles.

Mobility represents, in Milan as in every urban area, one of the main factors that affect environmental quality, travel times, and the use and quality of public space. The Council, which will remain in office for four years, was established precisely to start a constant dialogue with the stakeholders in the matter and with the subjects who deal with mobility in the city and metropolitan area.

As foreseen by the founding resolution, 14 members have been appointed, while the appointment of the fifteenth will take place subsequently, after the identification of the same by the soon-to-be-formed Council for people with disabilities.
