Milan, March 24 2023 – The Municipality of Milan joins the "FAI Spring Days" which will be held tomorrow, Saturday 25th, and Sunday 26th March. For the occasion, Palazzo Marino it will be open to the public for visits, without the need for reservations, from 10am to 18pm, with last entry at 17pm.

The itinerary will start from Piazza della Scala and will include the Marra Room, the Council Room, the Clock Room where the Olympic flags are currently displayed, the Council Room, with fragments of frescoes by Giambattista Tiepolo, the Alessi Room and the courtyard of honor.    

Palazzo Marino it has been the seat of the Municipality of Milan since 1861. Commissioned by the Genoese banker and merchant Tommaso Marino to make it his residence, it was built between 1557 and 1563 based on a design by the Perugian architect Galeazzo Alessi. Originally oriented towards Piazza San Fedele, following the unification of Italy it became the seat of the Municipality and was completed with the new façade overlooking Piazza della Scala thanks to the important restoration work by Luca Beltrami in 1886.

On the occasion of the 31a edition of the FAI Spring Days, special visits are also planned in Ukrainian, organized by volunteers from the Milan delegation of the "FAI bridge between cultures" project and reserved for around 120 Ukrainian citizens who arrived in Milan after the Russian invasion of their country.

The visits are also carried out with the aim of promoting the integration process through knowledge of a historical site in the city of Milan. The beneficiaries of the initiative were reported by the #MilanoaiutaUkraine project, by the Ukrainian Consulate General and by the FAI as part of the "FAI bridge between cultures" project.
