Palazzo Marino. The Mayor signs the provision granting delegations

The School Building Department is born

Milan, January 1 2020 – Mayor Giuseppe Sala signed the provision which provides for the establishment of the School Building Department whose powers are conferred on Paolo Limonta.

The School Building Department will take care of:

  • Definition of policies relating to the design and implementation of school building interventions;
  • Definition of policies for the integrated management of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance interventions of schools with reference to structures, systems, greenery and external areas.

The delegation to Education, Instruction and Youth Policies, granted to councilor Laura Galimberti, is integrated and modified as follows:

  • Educational services;
  • Instruction;
  • University and research;
  • Definition of policies for voluntary activities with the exclusion of activities relating to the Houses of Associations;
  • Policies for the promotion and development of initiatives to support the world of youth, including in the relevant forms of aggregation.

The delegation for Security, given to the deputy mayor Anna Scavuzzo, is integrated and modified as follows:

  • Definition of policies for local police and security activities;
  • Definition of policies for civil protection activities;
  • Relations with religious communities;
  • Program Implementation;
  • Relations with the City Council;
  • Policies for the promotion of projects and initiatives relating to the Food Policy for a development strategy for a fair and sustainable Milanese food system, in agreement with the Councilors responsible for the specific projects;
  • Definition of policies for social cohesion activities;
  • Policies for the valorization of the Steam Factory.

Furthermore, the delegation to Culture, given to councilor Filippo Del Corno, is integrated and modified as follows:

  • Culture policies;
  • Directions and control over the activities of the Milan Foundation.
