Milan, January 24 2022 – The Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala has established, with specific decrees, the Anti-Mafia Committee and the Committee for legality, transparency and administrative efficiency, composed respectively of five and four members who will remain in office until the end of their mandate, collaborating free of charge.

Anti-Mafia Committee

Nando from the Church, President. Professor of Sociology of organized crime, sociology and methods of education on legality, geopolitics and organized crime at the University of Milan, delegated by the Rector of the University for the area of ​​studies on organized crime and education to an anti-mafia culture, professor of the PhD in Studies on organized crime, President of CROSS and Director of the Observatory on organized crime and of the Summer school on organized crime, as well as of the Cathedra "Falcone - Borsellino" of Mexico City, in charge of seminars and lessons in masters and high schools at Italian and foreign universities, coordinator and director of research on organized crime. Former President of the Technical-scientific Anti-Mafia and Legality Education Committee of the Lombardy Region, Member of Parliament for three legislatures, Undersecretary for University and Research, City Councilor in Milan, as well as President and coordinator of the "Committee for the study and promotion of activities aimed at combating mafia-type phenomena and organized crime in the Milan area also in relation to the EXPO 2015 event" from 2011 to 2016.

David Gentiles. Counselor and teacher of law, civic education and ethics in institutes and professional centers in Milan, trainer for the Valeria Association which promotes legality education courses aimed at minors and those who deal with them professionally. Already an expert consultant in youth policies, educator and social, criminal and family mediator, municipal councilor in Milan from 2008 to 2021, he held the position of President of the Anti-Mafia Commission of the Municipality of Milan from 2012 to 2021.

Eleonora Montani. Lawyer and professor of criminal law and gender law and women's rights at the Luigi Bocconi Commercial University where she was also Research fellow in criminal law from 2005 to 2015, President and member of supervisory bodies, member of the technical table for education on the legality of USRLo, you represent Bocconi at the ANAC for the project "Educating in legality and deterrence, in the control and fight against mafia and organized crime phenomena", author of numerous publications on criminal matters and organized crime. She was an expert criminologist at the Surveillance Court of Milan, participated in projects and research groups on organized crime, collaborated with law firms in the criminal, commercial and corporate fields.

Ciro Dovizio. Contract professor of Contemporary History at the University of Milan, teacher of History and Philosophy at a high school in the province of Milan, member of the editorial committee of the "Journal of studies and research on organized crime" of the University of Milan and the Milanese editorial team of "Historia magistra, critical history magazine". He obtained a PhD in Studies on organized crime, participated in various editions of the Summer school on organized crime of the University of Milan and at the Itinerant University, author of monographs and articles on the mafia, scientific curator of the "900" exhibition criminal. Laura Ninni. Lawyer at a law firm in Milan specialized in environmental, corporate, financial market and bankruptcy criminal law, health and safety in the workplace, since 2019 professor of criminal law at the Viggiani Law School, since 2017 collaboration at the Faculty of Law, University of the Milan studies, for the chairs of "Criminal Law" and "Strategies to combat organized crime". Gherardo Colombo. Former magistrate of the Court of Milan and judge at the Court of Cassation, member of the ministerial commission for the reform of the code of criminal procedure which dealt with the regulation of trials relating to organized crime, consultant of the parliamentary commission of inquiry into terrorism and massacres in Italy and subsequently of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into the Mafia, author of numerous articles and texts of a technical-legal nature, as well as President and coordinator of the previous committee.

Mauro Renna. Lawyer authorized to practice before the superior courts and Full Professor of Administrative Law at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan, Member of the Scientific and Steering Committee of the Observatory on Administrative Regulation of the Institute of Business Economics and of labor - Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan and of the Scientific Committee of the Observatory on public contracts and sustainability - "Luigi Bocconi" University of Milan, author of numerous publications in the field of administrative law. Laura De Carlo.
