Palazzo Marino. The conference "Centenary of ancient Milanese municipalities" on Tuesday 7 March

Milan, March 6 2023 - Tomorrow, Tuesday 7 March, from 16pm to 30pm, in Sala Alessi at Palazzo Marino, the conference "Centenary of ancient Milanese municipalities - Towards a polycentric Milan of villages and neighborhoods" will take place. The event is part of the series of meetings and initiatives "From the villages to the city, from the city to the neighborhoods" aimed at commemorating the hundred years since the aggregation of the eleven villages and municipalities of the metropolitan belt (Affori, Baggio, Chiaravalle Milanese, Crescenzago, Gorla -Precotto, Greco Milanese, Lambrate, Musocco, Niguarda, Trenno, Vigentino) and the 150 years since the inclusion of Holy bodies, the villages that were located around the city, just beyond the Spanish Walls.

Speeches are expected from Luca Gibillini (delegate of the Mayor's Cabinet for the coordination of "Milan is memory"), Barbara Bracco (Bicocca University), Walter Cherubini (Consulta peripheri di Milano), Giorgio Bacchiega (Centre for study suburbs - CPM), Salvatore Crapanzano (Coordination of Milanese committees), Cristina Melchiorri (Dioguardi Foundation - SUM City Consortium - School), Rocco Ronza (Urban Genoma).

The meeting will be moderated by the vice president of the city council, Roberta Osculati.
