Milan, 16 December 2020 – It is a different New Year's Eve, the one that these times impose on us, and the Municipality of Milan wanted to find a new way to mark the transition between a 2020 full of difficulties and a 2021 full of hopes, sharing an evening of art and music great suggestion, in which everyone's thoughts can be protagonists thanks to a multimedia artistic project open to citizens and designed for streaming viewing in their homes, in full compliance with the limitations caused by the pandemic.

A project that allows everyone to participate 'remotely' through their own message which during New Year's Eve will be transformed into an "enlightened thought". Starting today, in fact, on the site www.pensieriilluminatimilano.it, anyone will be able to leave a thought, as short and simple as a tweet, inspired by one of the three themes of the work: creation, humanity and the future.

The messages will be transformed by the artist Felice Limosani into generative graphics and luminous pixels, to be then projected as emotional shapes and movements. The final result will be a collective narration, an experience made unique by the music directed by Maestro Beatrice Venezi, performed by the 'I pomeriggi musical' Orchestra, and by the dramaturgy staged by the Civica theater school 'Paolo Grassi'. Midnight will be marked by a video installation narrated by Alessandro Preziosi, thanks to the collaboration with the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo.

Promoted by the Municipality of Milan and produced with Videomobile and Area 62, directed by Marco Boarino, Pensieri illuminati is conceived as a total work of art, visible exclusively in streaming.
