City hours. From Thursday, shop openings and activities will return to normal

Milan, July 7 2021 – The municipal administration, in agreement with the Prefecture, has decided to suspend starting tomorrow, Thursday 8 July, the provision by which in these months of health emergency the opening hours of commercial activities and offices have been diversified to allow the students return to school and safe access to local public transport.
The suspension of the measure becomes possible after the closure of schools which significantly reduced the influx of users on the public transport network. And it also takes into account the increase in capacity on public transport to 80%, in force in the white zone.
The measure is effective immediately and will remain in force until the reopening of educational institutions of all levels, when there will be a probable return to 100% attendance in schools and 50% in universities.
However, the measures remain conditioned by the evolution of the health context at national and territorial level and by the consequent regulatory framework of reference.
