Milan, 26 December 2020 – During the snow table held this afternoon, chaired by the deputy mayor Anna Scavuzzo and the councilor for Mobility and Public Works Marco Granelli, the Municipality decided to convene the Municipal Operations Center (COC) – tomorrow, Sunday 27 December, at 18pm. The weather forecasts, in fact, confirm snowfall in the night between Sunday and Monday, therefore the salt spreaders will be pre-positioned in the city starting from the evening.
The itineraries that will be the subject of greater attention are initially those most sensitive for the circulation of vehicles - for example overpasses, accesses to ring roads, public transport routes - and for the safe transit of citizens, such as surface ATM stops, subway entrances, access to public offices and hospitals. Present at the table were the municipal managements involved, the Civil Protection and the subsidiaries A2a, AMSA, ATM and MM.
The appeal is renewed to condominium administrators to ensure that salt is spread in the parts of the streets and sidewalks in front of private buildings and that snow is cleared in case of accumulation.
