Christmas. The search for sponsors, ideas and projects to illuminate the streets and neighborhoods of the city has begun
Tajani: "Christmas in the sign of solidarity and restart, after the difficulties of the Covid emergency"
Milan, September 27 2020 – Milan is preparing to light up with lights and colors in view of the upcoming Christmas holidays. Companies and sponsors have until November 10th to join the tender launched by the Administration for the creation of lights and decorations in the city, its commercial axes and the main streets in the decentralized neighborhoods and outside the ring road, on the occasion of Christmas 2020.
“The choice to ask those who want to invest in the city center to commit to illuminating even the most remote streets and areas has proven successful in recent years - comments the councilor for Employment Policies, Productive Activities and Commerce, Cristina Tajani - and is part of the Administration's broader plan to encourage solidarity between the different neighborhoods of the city, so that this Christmas is lived in the sign of solidarity and restart after the difficulties dictated by the Covid emergency".
The ideas and projects of urban lighting and decorations in harmony with Christmas themes can be proposed by companies, private or public entities as sponsors. There are three useful dates by which to present your ideas and projects: 5, 29 October and 10 November.
All the subjects who participate in the tender by choosing to create lighting projects in the most central areas of Milan will have to take responsibility for creating the lights also in the decentralized areas, thus promoting solidarity between the different souls of the city and mutual support between neighborhoods and different realities businesses present in the area.
The lights can be set up starting from November 1st and the switch-on period is scheduled from November 21st to January 10th 2021. The dismantling of the structures must take place by January 31st by the proponents.
