The various declinations of contemporaneity of the Australian continent are on display at the PAC, in a collective exhibition ("Stories from the Antipodes") which constitutes the largest survey of contemporary Australian art ever held outside the continent.

CIVIC MUSEUMS (AND RELATED EXHIBITIONS)

Below are the openings of the civic museums (Museum of the Twentieth Century, GAM | Gallery of Modern Art, Museums of the Sforzesco Castle, Archaeological Museum. Palazzo Moriggia | Museum of the Risorgimento, Palazzo Morando | Costume Fashion Image, MuDeC | Permanent Collection, House Museum Boschi Di Stefano, Studio Museo Francesco Messina) and the exhibitions set up in the museum spaces.

The MuDeC Permanent Collection will be open on Wednesday 25 December and Wednesday 1 January (from 14.30pm to 19.30pm), while the other buildings will remain closed.
Regular opening of the museums on Thursday 26 December.
Monday 6 January, weekly closing of the museums with the exception of the Museo del Novecento (open from 14.30pm to 19.30pm) and MuDeC (from 9.30am to 19.30pm).

In addition to its collections, the Castello Sforzesco offers the "Leonardo never seen" itinerary which still allows you to visit - until 19 April, when the restoration site will reopen - the Leonardesque Sala delle Asse with the multimedia installation "Sotto l' shadow of the Moro" and "Leonardo in Milan", as well as the refined dossier exhibition "Intorno a Leonardo". In the spaces dedicated to temporary exhibitions, the Museo del Novecento leads the visitor to discover an extraordinary artist like Adriana Bisi Fabbri and the work of one of the protagonists of the Italian twentieth century, Filippo De Pisis.
In the rooms of Palazzo Morando the story unfolds through images, objects and documents of the "Milan of the 60s", from the post-war boom to the dark days of Piazza Fontana, which close an era of incredible enthusiasm and great vitality of our city. The elegant exhibition dedicated to Canova's "Ideal Faces" can be admired on the ground floor of the GAM, while at the Studio Museo Francesco Messina there is a spectacular and unprecedented installation of "shoulder machines", a UNESCO intangible heritage, protagonists of popular festivals and processions throughout Italy.

Finally, January 5, 2020 will once again be "Sunday at the Museum": all the civic museums will be open and can be visited for free, except the Sforzesco Castle and the GAM. In fact, at the Sforzesco Castle the entrance ticket (reduced to 5 euros) also includes a visit to the "Leonardo never seen" initiatives, while at the GAM, in addition to the permanent collection, the ticket (reduced to 5 euros) also allows you to visit the exhibition "Canova.
