Nassiriya. Wreaths laid on the 17th anniversary of the massacre
Milan, November 12 2020 – The laying of laurel wreaths took place today in front of the stele dedicated by the Municipality of Milan to the victims of the Nasiriyah massacre on the day of the 17th anniversary of the attack in which 19 Italians and 9 Iraqis lost their lives. An opportunity to also commemorate the Day of Remembrance of Military and Civilian Fallen in International Peacekeeping Missions.
Present at the ceremony were the deputy mayor of the Municipality of Milan Anna Scavuzzo, the deputy prefect of Milan Natalino Manno, General CA Luigi Miglietta, Commander of the Italian-led NATO Rapid Reaction Army Corps, for the Italian Army, and the General B. Roberto Boccaccio, Chief of Staff of the Interregional Carabinieri Command “Pastrengo”, for the Carabinieri.
