Natural History Museum. Thursday 22 July at 10am inauguration of the life-size Saltriovenator model

Milan, July 21 2021 - Tomorrow at 10 am, in the Montanelli Gardens in front of the entrance to the Natural History Museum, in the presence of the Councilor for Culture Filippo Del Corno, the life-size model of a Saltriovenator will be inaugurated, the first and currently only Lombard dinosaur whose fossil, dating back 200 million years ago, was found in 1996 in Saltrio in the province of Varese by a staff of Italian paleontologists.

The model, of museum quality due to the precision with which it faithfully reproduces the anatomical characteristics described by paleontologists, will become a permanent installation and therefore a representative icon of the Museum and the collections it houses and exhibits.
