Montanelli. The intervention to clean the statue took place on Monday 15 June
Milan, June 15 2020 - The cleaning of the statue of Indro Montanelli took place on Monday 15 June, having been smeared in recent days with red paint and black writing on the base.
The intervention was carried out by Amsa, as regards the base and the space around it, and by a specialized company, as regards the bronze body.
Immediately after the contamination, the municipal administration carried out an inspection of the Gardens with the Nuir, the Rapid Intervention Unit, in order to verify the state of the places and appoint the operators for the clean-up.
