Mobility. Town Hall 9, new BikeMi station in via Crespi

It adds to the network of 321 stations present throughout the territory

Milan, 23 April 2021 – A new BikeMi station, the Clear channel bicycle sharing service managed by ATM, is active in Municipality 9.

Station 503 – Crespi-Bovio, equipped with 39 stalls to accommodate bicycles and entirely financed by Clear channel Italia, is located near the media company's headquarters, in via Bovio at the corner of via Benigno Crespi. Branded with the company colours, light blue and white, it is located in a very busy area thanks to the presence of a high density of offices and multinational companies.

Station 503 joins the bikeMi network which today has 321 units and is available to all citizens who use the service.

"Today we are taking a new step forward – declares Marco Granelli, Councilor for Mobility – in the diffusion of bike sharing throughout the territory. An extensive and branched distribution that facilitates its use, making this means of transport increasingly convenient and suitable for travel throughout the city. I thank Clear channel for having financed this new station, particularly useful in an area that hosts many offices. A new piece of collaboration between public and private that puts itself at the service of Milanese citizens for green mobility".

"This station is a further demonstration of how collaboration between private and public guarantees the city an efficient, sustainable and cutting-edge service – comments Eszter Sallai, Managing Director of Clear channel Italia –. It also represents a new step for the growth of BikeMi in terms of capillarity and expansion of the service. In the last two years we have started, in agreement with ATM and the Municipality of Milan, an expansion, renewal and innovation operation. An example is the recent software change which has made the service technologically more advanced on a par with the most important European sharing systems".

Consisting of a total of 321 stations, the BikeMi network is managed exclusively by Clear channel Italia and has 4.280 muscle pedal bikes and 1.150 pedal assisted ones, of which 150 are equipped with child seats. BikeMi is one of the most advanced examples in Europe of bike sharing integrated with surface transport and subways, a means of public transport on two wheels.

It is an easy, practical and ecological system that helps improve the quality of the environment and physical well-being. Active 365 days a year, BikeMi is operational from 6am to midnight.
