Mobility. On Sunday Granelli will participate in "Milan is all for us"

First gathering dedicated to sustainable mobility with bicycles and scooters organized by Milano Bike Coalition and Helbiz

Milan, January 31 2020 - On the occasion of the traffic block on Sunday 2 February, Milan bike coalition and Helbiz – Powered by Telepass pay – will organize the first sustainable mobility rally. The event will be supported by Tinaba, Alipay and Radio 105. Marco Granelli, councilor for Mobility, will participate from 10am.

The program includes the meeting at the Porta Venezia Gardens (in front of the Planetarium) at 9 am, the departure at 30 am towards Corso Buenos Aires and arrival in Piazza Lima for the Helbiz electric scooter depot. The cycling itinerary will then continue along the AbbracciaMI cycling circle line.

Helbiz - on the occasion of the return of sharing of its electric scooters and the arrival of pedal-assisted electric bicycles - will make its vehicles available free of charge to anyone who wants to try them. From the Indro Montanelli public gardens to Piazza Lima, citizens will be able to move around on electric scooters at no cost to give a signal of an ecological turning point linked to Milanese mobility.

On Sunday only electric cars will be allowed to circulate and it will also be the perfect opportunity for those who don't feel so confident about cycling in the city: a day with low traffic, on a mixed itinerary (urban, extra-urban, roads, cycle paths, parks), in company of many people.

The cycling itinerary studied includes a ride of approximately 30 kilometers that is accessible to everyone and can be covered with any type of bike. An ideal route to see a different Milan, with little traffic and many new and surprising observation points. By pedaling it will be possible to talk about places and rivers (the Lambro, for example) and how the city will change in certain spaces, for example crossing some of the areas that will be affected by the Reinventing cities projects.

After the first stretch, the itinerary continues along Viale Monza, in Gorla it takes the Martesana cycle path, in Crescenzago the AbbracciaMI itinerary, the cycling circle line of Lacittàintorno, Lambro park, crossing Lambrate and the water park, Ortica ,  the new itinerary that anticipates the birth of the Great Forlanini Park, Viale Forlanini on the magical walkway, Viale dell'Aviazione, Monluè farmhouse, Santa Giulia, Rogoredo under the station, a tour of the surprising park of Porto di Mare, the abbey of Chiaravalle, the Vettabbia park, the fields of the new urban agriculture, the water purification tanks, Corvetto, the Corso Lodi cycle path and finally the journey from Porta Romana to Porta Venezia on the Bastioni ring road.

Throughout the afternoon Helbiz will carry out information and educational activities in some strategic points of the city. In Piazza Castello, Gae Aulenti and in Via Croce Rossa near Via Montenapoleone you can find shared electric scooters and collect information on their use and traffic rules. During these activities gadgets and information material will be distributed.
