Mobility. From Wednesday 15 June the Towpath Naviglio Pavese, from viale Liguria to via Fra Cristoforo, will be closed for works

Milan, June 14 2022 – Work will start tomorrow, Wednesday 15 June, on the roadway and on the canal of the Alzaia Naviglio Pavese which involves the closure of the street, from Viale Liguria to Via Fra Cristoforo.  These are two different interventions, planned at the same time, precisely to have less impact on the city's traffic in such an important stretch.  In the first section of the Naviglio Pavese towpath, from viale Liguria to via Giovanni Schiavoni, the works include the arrangement of the roadway with the construction of gates at the intersections to moderate speed and raised crossings and in addition the completion of the cycle path and the subsequent asphalting of the road.  In this stretch, in addition to pedestrian and cycling traffic, vehicular passage will also be allowed for residents, workers in commercial establishments and those who need to reach them.  The second section, the one on the Naviglio Pavese towpath which starts from the Schiavoni overpass to via Fra Cristoforo, will be completely closed for works to replace the manhole cover of the Renata Triulza canal, carried out by MM Spa. Due to a collapse of the old underground pipe it was in fact necessary to create a diversion of the canal.  The overall duration of the works will be approximately three months.
