Mobility. The car park in Via Bovio opens on 1 October

The underground structure contains 250 parking spaces and is fully automated

Milan, October 1 2019 - A new car parking structure opens today in via Bovio, between the Maciachini and Dergano stations of the M3. The car park is located in an interchange hub of considerable interest because it serves cars coming from the area north of Milan.

"Facilitating parking in the structure allows us to keep cars stationary and remove them from our streets - declares Marco Granelli, councilor for Mobility. - Investing in public transport, freeing up precious spaces along the pavements, improving liveability in the city, this is the objective that we are consistently pursuing."

The car park is underground, with a single level and there is space for around 250 cars. It is managed by ATM which thus reaches 25 structures for a total of approximately 19.500 parking spaces.

The main feature of the via Bovio car park, in addition to its strategic location for urban mobility, is total automation; entry and exit take place only by reading the license plates registered in the system. The user no longer has to collect any tickets but simply enter their license plate number at the cash registers to make the payment. The same system is already in use in the Piazzale Abbiategrasso car park which opened last July.

The car park is managed remotely with video surveillance systems whose operations room can be contacted via intercoms located within the structure.

Starting today it will be open every day, 24 hours a day.
