Milan is alive in the neighborhoods. The notice to access contributions for the creation of entertainment initiatives from 15 June to 31 October is online

 

Thanks to the funding of over 1 million euros from the MIC, this year too the Municipality will be able to support and promote the live show beyond the circle of 90/91 The announcement here Milan, 1 April 2023 – “Milano è Viva nei Quartieri” returns in 2023, the project financed by the Ministry of Culture and implemented and coordinated by the Municipality of Milan – Culture to support and promote live entertainment activities in the less central areas of metropolitan cities. This year the MIC funding amounts to 1.150.300 euros and will be allocated to economic support for the creation of live entertainment events and initiatives which will take place in the period between 15 June and 31 October 2023. The projects will be selected through a public evidence procedure by a specific commission based on the criteria indicated in the announcement: among these, the prevalence of events scheduled beyond the external ring road 90/91, the attention to the involvement of unconventional spaces, the educational scope of the project , the presence of laboratories dedicated to the performing arts. Participating entities - all organizations financed under the MIC National Entertainment Fund and those operating in the sector for at least three years are eligible - will be able to access both sections provided for in the announcement (but, in case of selection, they will be able to access to contributions for only one of these). Section A concerns theatre, music, dance, circus art and multidisciplinary festivals, which must involve at least three districts with the provision of events, workshops and presentations. For each of the 8 selected projects - one for each municipality, from 2 to 9 - a fixed contribution of 80 thousand euros will be paid to support the costs of creating the festival, the value of which must be equal to or greater than 100 thousand euros. Section B of the notice is instead intended for subjects who intend to carry out widespread entertainment activity projects, the value of which must be equal to or greater than 6.250 euros: the contribution assigned to the selected projects may vary from 5 to 35 thousand euros, based on the value of the project, and cannot exceed 80% of its value. Requests for contributions must be submitted exclusively online by accessing this link by 12pm on May 8th. Participation in the notice does not preclude the possibility of participating, in the year 2023, in other calls for grants for the granting of contributions by the Culture Directorate.
