The Administration's contribution to those who have planned and implemented initiatives on the value and meaning of memory
Milan, November 5 2020 - Sixty thousand euros of contributions to support the memory. With a notice just published on the Municipality's website, the Administration has decided to help the city associations that this year have committed themselves to transmitting the value and meaning of memory through projects and initiatives.
A fundamental objective in the action of the Municipality of Milan, which for this purpose has established the Milan is Memory platform since 2017, thus bringing together "the events and initiatives that contribute to cultivating historical and critical memory, organized both by the many associations and Cultural institutions, both from the Municipalities and from the Municipal Administration".
In particular, non-profit organizations and associations that in 2020 carried out continuous activity on the topic through projects and initiatives in the city area or that supported expenses, by December 2020, for projects that will be implemented by March 2021 will be able to request contributions. .
The contributions cannot exceed 5 thousand euros for the ongoing activities of the associations, and 8 thousand euros for those who present projects to be implemented by 21 March 2021. They will be assigned by December of this year to applicants whose applications are deemed eligible. by the “Milano è Memoria” Coordination Committee, until the available budget is exhausted, on the basis of evaluation criteria ranging from the coherence of the institutional activities or the project with the guidelines of “Milano è Memoria” to the activation, based on the epidemiological emergency, specific methods of production, dissemination and sharing of the contents of the activities or project with multimedia and/or web-based systems.
In consideration of the high number of requests, the results of the notice will be published by 18.12.2020.
