Milan, March 6 2023 – Thirteen new stumbling blocks were laid this morning in the presence of the President of the City Council Elena Buscemi: "Names and stories of families, citizens torn from life by fascist and Nazi hatred, who ideally return home. The stones laid are those in memory of Ambrogio Campi in via Atene 3, Aldo Levi in ​​via Cambiasi 3, Enrichetta Blum and Rebecca Nahum in via Vallisneri 2, Nissim Hazan, Carolina Americano, Ginette and Colette Hazan in viale Piave 42, Antonio Piazzolla in via Vittorio veneto 4, Mario Madé in via Abbadesse 25, Lodovico Petit Bon in via Monte Rotondo 9, Ateo Castellani in via Monte Rotondo 9, Luigi Duci in via Ornato 55.

In total there are 26 Stumbling Stones placed this year, between January 27th and this morning.

Since 2017, however, 171 people have been remembered in 135 different addresses throughout the city. The first stone, placed in the presence of Senator Liliana Segre, survivor of the extermination camp, was set on 19 January six years ago, in front of her house in Corso Magenta 55, in memory of Alberto Segre, her father, deported together with her on January 30, 1944 and died in Auschwitz three months later.
