Milan, January 26 2022 – "The Stumbling Stones are an extraordinary world monument that forces those who encounter them to pause, to come across the lives of people who would otherwise have been forgotten. We are happy to enrich Milan with new poses. Research, care, sharing of memory are fundamental for the formation of aware citizens, and are crucial above all for the new generations. Memory is a civic duty that must be pursued with perseverance".

This is what was said this morning by the President of the City Council Elena Buscemi, who took part in the ceremonies of laying the Stumbling Stones in the streets of Forze Armate 179, Washington 79, F. Carcano 5, M. Pagano 36, piazza castello 20, Ceresio 3, Scalvini 8 and Grivola 18.

The ceremonies were attended by Marco Steiner, President of the Stumbling Stones Committee, Roberto Cenati, ANPI Provincial President of Milan, associations, citizens and in some cases relatives or acquaintances of the people remembered.
