Milan, May 29 2020 – The Citizen's File app, the mobile application of the Municipality of Milan, arrives in stores.

After the experimentation started in February which involved 99 citizen testers (plus one, the mayor Giuseppe Sala), from today all Milanese will be able to download the application for free to have numerous digital services within reach of their smartphone.

By logging in with SPID, users will have access to their "Citizen's File", the safe and protected area where they can consult their personal data and that of their family unit, upcoming deadlines (e.g. electronic identity card) and related information. to parking passes for cars, book an appointment at the municipal offices, check your land registry data and download registry certificates registered to the individual members of the family unit. Furthermore, it will be possible to send reports and suggestions in the appropriate "Write" section.

“The Milan Digital Week is the ideal stage to present the flagship project of 2020 to the Milanese - declares councilor Roberta Cocco (Digital Transformation and Civic Services) -: from today the Municipality's services arrive on citizens' smartphones, after a long design work, experimentation and direct involvement of testers. Thanks to the feedback received we were able to improve the final product which is now available in stores. This, of course, is the starting point, the development will continue to allow citizens to find more and more functionality and to obtain what they need - information, certificates, reservations - comfortably from home, without the need to go to the registry offices ”.

The application is the last step in the digital transformation journey that started in 2016 and which has led to a considerable increase in the use of online services by citizens, from certificates downloadable online (which has reached 80% in recent months). to booking appointments, from requesting a change of residence to emailing extracts and civil status documents, from requesting an online parking pass to paying the Tari and fines thanks to Pago PA. Furthermore, it will soon be possible to book an appointment on the site to request and obtain a SPID (Public Digital Identity System) user directly in one of the registry offices to access all the online services of the Public Administration.

The Citizen's File app, created by the Information Systems and Digital Agenda Directorate of the Municipality of Milan in collaboration with Almaviva and PWC, is available on AppleApp Store for iOS 11 or later operating systems and up Google Store for Android 6 or later.
