Milan is memory. Memi is born, the festival that gives new life to places of memory through art

The invitation to artists and collectives to present projects that involve citizens is open until 1 July

Milan, June 11 2019 - Giving new life, through art, to the places of memory of Milan. This is the objective of the first Memi festival, in Milan from 13 to 15 September, which aims to involve artists, performers and designers interested in developing artistic projects to raise awareness of or talk about places of memory.

The invitation is open: proposals for ideas that can be realized using a wide spectrum of expressive languages, such as performance, dance, installation, painting, photography, sculpture, digital art, video art, sound design and other multidisciplinary forms of expression are accepted.

The projects must actively involve citizens. Artists or collectives may present only one proposal to be carried out on one or more days of the festival. Each proposal may concern one or more places and must be original but not necessarily new.

Applications must be submitted by 12pm on 1 July. For further information and how to submit applications, you can consult the announcement on the website www.me-mi.it/festival.
