Bad weather. Expected worsening, the COC for monitoring the Seveso and Lambro rivers remains active
Milan, October 20 2019 - The municipal operations center (C.O.C) remains active due to the worsening of the disturbance passing through the Prealps and the north-western plain. Intense thunderstorms and strong winds are expected starting from 14pm, intensifying in the evening and especially during the night with water accumulations between 60 and 90 mm/12h. The alert remains active until late afternoon tomorrow, Monday 21 October, when there could be a second wave of intensification of rainfall. The provision follows the transition of the regional alert from code yellow to orange.
The weather alert also includes the monitoring of the levels of the Seveso and Lambro rivers and the activation of the Civil Protection teams and local police patrols. The MM Water Service team will also be ready to intervene if necessary.
