Bad weather. Orange alert for heavy rain and thunderstorms

Milan, July 14 2019 - The Regional Weather Center has issued an orange alert for the passage of a disturbance over the Milan basin which foresees widespread rainfall, including local thunderstorms, starting from 18pm today, Sunday 14 July. The most intense phenomena are expected during the night and during the morning of tomorrow, Monday 15 July. The alert remains yellow (ordinary) regarding the possibility of strong winds, again starting from 18pm today. 
Citizens are invited to pay maximum attention and adopt behaviors that can help prevent any problems due to strong winds, such as removing vases not anchored to balconies or other suspended objects, and avoiding parking cars under trees. 
The Municipality has therefore confirmed the activation, already arranged on Saturday 13 June, of the Coc, the Municipal Operations Centre, starting from 18 pm today at the headquarters in via Drago to graduate the activation of the emergency plan and the Seveso and Lambro rivers they remain under special surveillance. Monitoring of hydrometric levels and radar is activated by the Civil Protection of the Municipality of Milan. The Civil Protection, Local Police and MM teams were also alerted. AIPO was also alerted to define the possible activation of the Palazzolo spillway.
