M4. Linate - Forlanini Fs, the Blue line is ready, it has passed all the tests
Milan, 17 July 2021 - The M4, the Blue, has passed all the tests on the Linate-Forlanini Fs section.
In recent days, in fact, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility also gave the go-ahead for the start of operation of the first three stations of the metro line. Stations, trains and equipment have therefore passed all the tests, pre-operation and simulations in travel times and with passengers: the first M4 section is ready from every point of view.
As already announced, the line will not be activated: the number of passengers destined for Linate is still, due to the pandemic situation, still at 30% of normal and the number of users who would use line 4 would not justify the cost of a service that it would burden the city.
For this reason, the Administration has decided to continue to monitor the Linate situation and, in the absence of significant increases in passengers, to activate the service when the line reaches Dateo station.
