Milan, 24 October - Income support: a further 2,4 million have been allocated, in addition to the 4 already foreseen in 2019, available to citizens who do not meet the requirements to benefit from national measures or other subsidies provided by the Social Policies Directorate.
Those who have resided in Milan for at least one year, have an ISEE less than or equal to 6 thousand euros and have a dependent minor in their family unit, or a disabled person or person with a civil disability, or a family member will be able to access the municipal economic contribution. who is over 64 years old.
Applications for income support must be submitted exclusively online on the Municipality of Milan portal by 16 December.

International Day for the Rights of the Child: on November 20th the children's municipal councils took office. Work started again this year to allow students to think, deliberate and complete small projects in favor of their neighborhoods, getting closer to the meaning of being aware citizens and thus implementing article 12 of the UN Convention on the rights of childhood and adolescence.
There are numerous initiatives implemented by schools, all oriented towards the issues of children's rights. Each school was able to choose the most suitable activity to offer to its students, choosing between the right to education, to play, to identity, to health, to hospitality, to participation and to protection.

National Tree Day: on November 21st the ForestaMi project came to life, the forestation campaign in the Municipality of Milan and its metropolitan city. Over 500 thousand trees have already been planted in the city and with the start of the agronomic season, which this year coincides with the national celebration of trees, the Milan area is preparing to welcome a further 114 thousand, distributed between the city and its metropolitan area .
The urban forestation plan promoted by the municipal administration, Metropolitan City of Milan, Lombardy Region - ERSAF, Parco Nord Milano, Agricultural Park Sud Milano and Fondazione di Comunità Milano and made possible also thanks to the contribution of private individuals, has the final objective of plant 3 million trees by 2030.
Not just new new plants in ForestaMi's projects; In fact, an educational and training program dedicated to primary and secondary schools in the Milan area has already been implemented with the Education Department of the Municipality of Milan to raise children's awareness of the value of environmental sustainability and the importance of respecting nature .
