Milan, 29 April 2024 – A morning of discussion and reflection between administrators and representatives of the CGIL, CISL and UIL unions, INAIL, the Labor Inspectorate and ATS, on the occasion of the 'World Day dedicated to safety and health at work'.

The appointment, which took place this morning at Palazzo Isimbardi, also falls on the second anniversary of the 'Milan Labor Pact', wanted by the Municipality of Milan and signed on 29 April 2022 with a vast representation of the social partners involved in the labor market of Milan and its province, including CGIL, CISL, UIL, Confcommercio, Assolombarda, Metropolitan City, AFOL Mentropolitana, Chamber of Commerce, Artisans Union, ACAI/Casartigiani. CNA, APA-Confartigianato, API, the Milanese Universities, the ITS Network, AEF, Assolavoro, the Third Sector Forum, the Alliance of Cooperatives.
An alliance that also sees 'Good Work' among its four pillars: an entire chapter dedicated to the practical measures to be implemented in synergy with the many signatories to ensure that work is a healthy place of physical and mental well-being and safe for the lives of workers.

For this reason, with a view to increasingly extensive synergy and collaboration, at this morning's meeting, opened by the Prefect of Milan Claudio Sgaraglia, the Municipality of Milan launched an appeal to the numerous metropolitan mayors present, also inviting the other Administrations to extend the "Memorandum of Understanding for the regularity and safety of work in the construction and infrastructure sector" signed in July 2022 to the metropolitan level.
