Work. "The neighborhood school" arrives in Dergano and Bovisa

The Municipality provides help to residents and citizens to implement ideas and projects that
improve services and life in the neighborhood. Tajani:"An innovative path that

Milan, October 3 2020 – After the positive experiences in the Lorenteggio neighborhoods,
Giambellino, Corvetto, Rogoredo, San Siro and Gallaratese, "The neighborhood school"
arrives to revitalize Dergano, Bovisa and Bruzzano as well. Monday 5 October from
18 pm onwards, at the “Rob de Matt” spaces in via Enrico Annibale Butti 18,
residents will be able to discover, accompanied by the teachers of “La Scuola dei
Neighborhoods”, how to implement ideas and projects useful for improving the quality of
life and services in their neighborhood as well as learning about some of the #GoodIdeas of
20 projects already completed which were awarded in the school's previous tenders.  
  
“The purpose of the Neighborhood School - explains the councilor for policies for the
Work, Productive Activities and Commerce Cristina Tajani - is helping people to
create projects and services that are useful to the community, other than those
already exist and are capable of supporting themselves autonomously, that is, not only
using public funding. A project that is enjoying great success
success in all the neighborhoods where the school is present, in harmony with the idea
of the city 15 minutes away proposed by the Council as an adaptation strategy afterwards
the lockdown”.  
 
The meeting on 5 October will take place in person and via live streaming
and it will be the right opportunity to present the 3rd call for participation of the
Neighborhood School, which will allow you to select up to 30 informal groups of
citizens willing to get involved. The Municipality will support the ideas that
they will be selected through a training and accompaniment process
personalized and non-repayable contributions of up to 25.000 euros for the start-up of
activity.   
 
The Neighborhood School is the project of the Municipality of Milan that helps whoever wants
try to design and implement a new, useful and
sustainable to be built on the outskirts of the city. The Municipality of Milan, with
this project was awarded the prestigious Cresco Award - Sustainable Cities,
the Award promoted by the Sodalitas Foundation, in collaboration with ANCI.   
 
The Neighborhood School is an initiative of the Department of Work and Activities
Productive projects of the Municipality of Milan, created with the support of Pon Metro Milano
2014-2020 and in collaboration with a network of organizations specializing in
community development and supporting entrepreneurship and innovation
social, selected with a public tender: Avanzi, Comunità del Giambellino,
CGM Consortium, Dynamoscopio, Milan Polytechnic Foundation, a|cube, Kilowatt,
PerMicro, Polytechnic of Milan, Spazio Aperto Servizi.
