Innovation. All the opportunities to build #milanodigitale

Milan, August 17 2019 – The Municipality of Milan calls together public and private entities for the promotion and diffusion of digital culture. Public notices for four different projects that the Administration intends to implement in the digital sphere are available on the institutional portal.

"We ask for the collaboration of the territorial ecosystem to help the municipal administration in the promotion and diffusion of digital culture - declares the councilor for Digital Transformation and Civic Services Roberta Cocco -. The aim is to provide citizens with ever more tools and more skills to learn digital and seize all the opportunities and at the same time make the dialogue with the innovative realities of the city increasingly profitable to accelerate the digital transformation".

The first project, "Digital education", is aimed at associations, foundations, businesses, schools and training institutions to invite them to present initiatives dedicated to the training and digital inclusion of citizens who do not have the necessary skills to access the Municipality's digital services of Milan and, more generally, the opportunities provided by the use of technology.

The projects, which can be activated starting from September and for the entire duration of the 2019/2020 school calendar, must include teaching methods and tools useful for providing basic knowledge such as registering on the Municipality of Milan portal and using the online services available , browse the Internet safely, register with the Public Digital Identity System (SPID), open and manage a personal profile on social media and make sure it is protected.

The Municipality of Milan will make spaces available in all nine municipalities, but digital literacy courses promoted within the registry offices and aimed at waiting citizens will also be welcomed, as already happens for the school-work alternation initiative "In de per mi – I do it alone", which involves high school students to provide assistance and teach citizens the use of the digital services present on the portal (request and digital release of registry certificates, online parking pass request, access to the citizen...).
The training and educational initiatives must be carried out and organized free of charge or, alternatively, coordinated by a collection of sponsors and partners.

The technical sponsorship may have a maximum cost of 70 thousand euros per year and may be co-financed by the Municipality of Milan for a maximum amount equal to 30 percent of the value of the project. Applications must be sent to the address siad. amministrazione@postacert.comune.milano.it no later than 16 September 2019.

The second project, "Alliance for #milanodigitale" is aimed at public and private entities, such as companies in the technological sector, universities, foundations and research centers, who want to donate technological and digital projects aimed at improving the city and of services aimed at citizens, tourists and city users. For example, connectivity projects, Artificial Intelligence solutions, training and social responsibility initiatives will be taken into consideration. You can participate through the activation of a partnership, which involves the organization and implementation of initiatives free of charge, or as technical sponsors, thus offering financial support to the projects presented by the partners.
The projects can be implemented starting from September 2019, but you have until 28 February 2021 to send expressions of interest to the address siad. amministrazione@postacert.comune.milano.it.
