Milan, January 31 2021 - To facilitate and simplify access to Public Administration services, the Municipality of Milan and MM SpA are promoting a Spid registration campaign aimed at tenants of the municipal housing stock managed by MM (including tenants of spaces for different uses).
The activation, which can be carried out at the counters of the local MM offices at no cost to the applicants, will allow the use of Spid for free.

Spid is the acronym for Public Digital Identity System. With a pair of personal credentials (username and password), each citizen can access the online services of the public administration and participating private individuals, including the citizen's digital file (Municipality of Milan), the electronic health file (Lombardy Region), bonuses and various state contributions.

Access to Spid, simple and secure, can be done from any device: computer, tablet and smartphone, whenever the "Enter with Spid" button is found on a site or service app.

“Thanks to the MM campaign we want to increase the diffusion of Spid among Milanese citizens - declares councilor Roberta Cocco (Digital Transformation and Civic Services) -. Spid is the digital recognition tool essential for accessing many Public Administration services, including the Citizen's File of the Municipality of Milan. Last October we made the activation of the public digital identity system available at the registry offices in Via Larga, registering a record request for appointments. Initiatives like this allow us to respond to an increasingly growing demand and at the same time expand the audience of citizens who can access our digital services, both through the institutional portal and through the dedicated app".

“It is important - adds the councilor for social and housing policies Gabriele Rabaiotti - that technologies are at the service of our tenants, if this can simplify and facilitate access to municipal services and public benefits, also because in the near future they will be further increase. I also appreciate that MM has made itself available with its operators and has organized itself to give concrete and free support to tenants who want to activate Spid". 

Anyone wishing to register with the help of the MM operator will have to go to one of the local offices after having agreed on an appointment by calling the toll-free number 800013191.
For the appointment, some documents will be needed:
• Valid identity document issued in Italy: paper or electronic identity card / card-sized driving license / passport.
• Health card (even if expired). If you do not have a health card, you can present one of the following documents: tax code attribution certificate, temporary health card certificate, tax code issued by the revenue agency.

Finally, it is necessary to communicate the mobile phone number and e-mail address which will be used to enter the data useful for profiling. 
Once registered, the applicant will receive an email containing a temporary password and the link through which, independently and following a series of consecutive steps, he will be able to complete the operations and obtain the Spid credentials.
