Milan, 18 November 2020 – After the excellent response to the first edition, the second level Master's degree in Digital humanities created by the Department of Historical Studies and the Department of Computer Science of the University of Milan in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan returns.

The second edition will start in March 2021 and will be aimed at both recent graduates and professionals already in the world of work, such as archivists, librarians, museum curators, computer scientists and journalists who want to delve deeper into the practices of humanistic IT in order to design , build and manage research sites and promote highly innovative, comparative and transversal studies through the integration of knowledge.

The involvement of the municipal administration will focus, in particular, on the use of the spaces in via Gregorovius 15, home to the Citadel of archives, for the carrying out of practical activities, on the support of teaching activities through qualified personnel, in addition to the identification of one or more institutional and technological partners and the promotion of the Master in the appropriate venues.

“We are pleased to confirm our participation in the Master for the second year – comments councilor Roberta Cocco (Digital Transformation and Civic Services) – to continue the increasingly intense and fruitful collaboration between the Department of Historical Studies of the University of Milan and our municipal archive, the Citadel of archives. The proposed path, which combines humanistic and technological skills, adheres perfectly to the particular historical moment we are going through in which digital is proving to be a valid ally, both in the educational and professional fields".
